But there is plenty of beauty here

because there is plenty of beauty everywhere

About - LOOK UP

My name is Hannah Elizabeth. I am a photographer, a writer, and an engineer. I am based in Ontario, Canada, but grew up in Nova Scotia. I am open to any and all types of collaboration, if you feel my style speaks to you or would be a fit, please reach out :)

When I was very young, my grandfather used to babysit me. His and my grandmother’s home was a simple white two storey set on a huge lot, with a small shed, a large garage & shop, a clothes line strung between trees, and had a ranch style wooden fence surrounding the yard. One day, he spent the day moving my legs back and forth while I sat in my high-chair. He later explained to my mother that he was worried that my legs were going to atrophy, because I was so content just sitting, staring, smiling, and taking the world in.

I’ve tried to preserve that same presence and contentment into my adult life, which is what fuelled me to explore photography - and has now been a passion of mine for several years. I have a strong need to observe and capture the beauty and light of my surroundings, regardless of the subject. I find beauty in nature, cities, architecture, people, life, even an artful pile of trash.

Part of the joy of photography for me is experiencing new environments, meeting new people, and truly appreciating our time on this Earth - please don’t hesitate to email me direct (hannah@lookupphotography.com), or use the form below:
